Barbecued Turkey Drumsticks
Ingredients:
4 Turkey Drumsticks, approx. 2 Kg.
2 large garlic cloves, minced
1 cup chili sauce or ketchup
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cupr. chopped onion
1 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon thyme
Preparation:
In small saucepan, combine all ingredients except turkey. Simmer, uncovered, over low heat for 15-20 minutes. Arrange turkey drumsticks in foil-lined roasting pan. Pour barbecue sauce over turkey; cover and marinate for 2 hours in refrigerator. Turn pieces occasionally in sauce. Remove from refrigerator.
To Grill: Spray grill with vegetable oil. Grill drumsticks until browned, about 7 minutes on each side; turn and baste frequently; continue to cook about 1 hour or until tender.
To Bake: Bake the loosely covered drumsticks in a 325 degree F. oven for 1 1/2 hours. Baste frequently. Uncover; continue baking for 30 minutes or until turkey is lightly browned and tender.
