Quality and Hygiene

Quality, is a popular word now a days. It is used too often too easily, followed by control, Assurance or other additions. Although everyone pronounces the word “quality” in the same way, it is the question if everybody means the same.

NedAliment is clear in its perspective and does not leave room for debate. By “meeting the needs of the customer”, NedAliment wants to find expression for quality. To be able to keep up with our standards, we have chosen a systematical approach. The Company uses a quality Assurance system. We select our suppliers, distributors and other companies we (want to) work with, with a high demand list. Our suppliers, distributors and other companies we work with, need to be at least as driven by quality as we are. Therefore we are in continuous contact with those suppliers. Because of this, we are able to trace back the origins of the products and materials used. Furthermore it ensures the compliance with regulations as well as the compliance with additional own norms, which result from our own knowledge and experience.

Therefore our goals is not only to become the biggest supplier, but we consider ourselves as one of the leaders in regard of quality of our product ranges.

This goal is reached by selecting the finest products of the best suppliers throughout Europe, in regards with local and international regulations. We do not want to create just business, we go beyond this and we create a partnership with all of the companies involved in our process. This vertical intergration guarantees us, next to the best possible quality, also a continuous flow of products.

Quality Products

Due to years of experience of the enterprise in the areas of producing and packaging of turkey and chicken parts, a distinctive hygiene consciousness is indispensable.

Regular microbiological controls as well as product analyses provide the hygiene status of the products and goods of our company.

The "good hygiene practice" and the operational control system of our company shall guarantee this in future, too.

Quality Assurance

We live and care for our HACCP system. We produce according rules of the HACCP. HACCP stands for Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. Freely translated: an analysis of critical points where has to be taken extreme caution regarding food safety. With HACCP the entire production process is being checked for potential dangers regarding food safety. These possible dangers are stated in HACCP, so the risks concerned are controlled and maintained.

So HACCP is a preventive tool, which increases the food safety.

Besides being HACCP certified, we are also registered as a NEN-EN-ISO 22000 company. This certification is an upgrade over HACCP and even goes further than the regular NEN-EN-ISO 9001 standard.

ISO 22000 specifies requirements for a food safety management system where an organization in the food chain needs to demonstrate its ability to control food safety hazards in order to ensure that food is safe at the time of human consumption.

ISO 22000:2005 specifies requirements to enable an organization

- to plan, implement, operate, maintain and update a food safety management system aimed at providing products that, according to their intended use, are safe for the consumer,

- to demonstrate compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory food safety requirements,

- to evaluate and assess customer requirements and demonstrate conformity with those mutually agreed customer requirements that relate to food safety, in order to enhance customer satisfaction,

- to effectively communicate food safety issues to their suppliers, customers and relevant interested parties in the food chain,

- to ensure that the organization conforms to its stated food safety policy,

- to demonstrate such conformity to relevant interested parties, and

- to seek certification or registration of its food safety management system by an external organization, or make a self-assessment or self-declaration of conformity to ISO 22000:2005.

Hygiene

Quality does not end with looking after good suppliers and other partners, good products and good facilities. It is also about hygiene. We expect our vertically integrated partners to uphold their part of maintaining proper hygiene regulations according to the various laws and rules, but we also take hygiene strictly in our factory. All of our personnel get a medical checkup prior to starting to work. They are annually vaccinated and they are provided with sterile protection equipment and tools.

All employees are regularly trained to strictly respect and follow access and traffic regulations within the production facilities. Within the production sectors, even employees who do not come in direct contact with the product have to follow the same strict sanitization and disinfection procedures as the rest of the personnel: shower, changing of garments, and formalin disinfection of equipment.

Certificates

As mentioned under Quality Assurance, we are certified by HACCP. Besides this certificate, we are also registered as a NEN-EN-ISO 22000. This certificate goes even further than HACCP and ISO 9001 together.
